I'll take your word Paul ;D. I'll arrange announcements for fun events as we will be discussing every week what cars to use in the same track we raced the official league event.

I want to take back the fun events on alternate weeks, they bring more activity to this racing family. ;D

I just broke the tie. Went with 3 seasons, 8 races.
For me the goal would be to persuade as many people as possible to hang in for the whole season. So between the two choices I went with Axe's theory/hope that more people will hang in if the season is shorter.
BUT... Jerry's theory that the time of year contributes to drop-out sounds plausible too. So his idea of the "in-door" season paired with a shorter out-door one is appealing.
Given the choice between 3 seasons of 4 months and Jerry's idea I'd have gone with Jerry's two season split, 7 months and 5 months. It tests both theories.

If we have 2 seasons i think we should go F3 - F2 , i think going up to F1 will loose us some people again as they are as hard to drive as the Lola , check out how many started the Lolas and how many stayed for more than 2 races .
We have lost some old stalwarts like Jesus and giorgio who i see racing f3 and f2 on other servers , we need to pull them back in .
If we use BB eve f3 then the setups will transfer to F2 with changes to the gearing , this will make life easier for those who struggle with setups .
Lets try to keep the racing simple with the emphasis on fun and close racing , let the challenge be the track and the other drivers , not the car itself
Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car
Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall
Torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it

I removed my vote and locked the poll, Im really mixed up about it now.
With so little difference I think a tie is more appropriate.
I think its time for Paul to decide what to do and I think it better be soon if we want to keep above timetable I posted.

We also have to start finalising which tracks we want to use , at present the definates look like
Brianza - do we use long or short or both , long can give good drafting battles with these cars
MonteCarlo
Belgium
Road America

Longford and Jarama sound good
i recommend you try out these 3
Atlanta - quite technical but lots of overtaking opportunities
Topeka -full course - fast and flowing
oulton park - without chicanes as this was the original layout until Paul Warwick got killed - DJ spotted this one and its very lifelike i am impressed .

I agree with tim on the glen - I have heard that bad graphic's thingy - I think they are as good as some of the other course's we have run, I thought the course had nice flow... even though I did bad there, I still like it. I guess it comes down to - preference and beauty in the eye of the beholder.
I don't have course's I would say are "must have". we can pick from the list supplied above - make a schedule and go for it...

and of course a must is DJC's Nords.
and Ill always propose Portugal.
Its always better to have as many ISI tracks as possible, they are really the best quality.

We are already at a starting point for a season and no decisions yet.
I think the upper management should just say this is it and we go racing. we will all join and have fun.
Just my opinion no matter what is picked not everyone will be happy.

Some great tracks to choose from ;D
I will get a list together tonight and set up the first mod ready for the season start, also I will set up a second server with the same track and a random car for the first fun event.
Lets get back to having a race every weekend. 1 League event followed by a fun event at the same track with a different car each week, this was always a great way to get others involved and meet new people in the server
Cheers
Paul
