Right,
I've got the race announcement almost ready for Sebring. Prior to making it public there's a doubt that has come to my mind.
Sebring is a track that is raced both day/night.... so, we could be doing some kind day/night transition racing or (as league is still in its beggining) we can keep with classic 2x30' daylight racing
I've though of many posibilities but what your thoughs on this?

If we do a night race make it the first race , the reverse grid in race 2 gives enough problems for everyone as is . can we set the server to transition to night so we can try it ?
Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car
Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall
Torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it

more possible ideas.....
If it's a 1 hour race, have time go from day, to night, then back to daytime (24 hour cycle).
If it's 2x30min races then just have time go from day to night (12 hour cycle).
Just my 2P.

I think we can still keep doing 2 x 30 min races as we have other special events during the season with longer races. And having two races gives other drivers a chance to score points if they ruined their first race. (I've also been thinking events with single races should score 2x points to be more fair, but that is another subject)
I first though of doing one race during daylight and a second race at night, but as D Coyne wisely says a reversed grid at night can have a very dangerous start of race.
I like the idea of starting both races during the day and ending them at night having the transition at around half race. That would require to calculate racing start time and time multiplier depending on when does night begin to fall in Sebring in rFactor2.

Then I think it's a deal. Tomorrow I'll go with the official announcement.

My opinion is that the day/night cycle should not be too artificially fast, because it looks bad and it's a bit fake.
How about 1h race with gradual transition from, say 18:30-19 to 21:30-22? That is just 3x time acceleration and the race will finish at night time, which in Sebring is awesome.

thy shall be done
I find it logical, let's make Sebring a 1h race.
Temperatures must not be static this time. We can set server for race day so temperatures will drop a little by night (according to real forecasts I'll publish). Anyway, expect high temperatures here. Tire handling will be important (actual weather forecasts predict softer temperatures)
