Classic F2 League - Round 6 - Mid Ohio - Reports

Very good attendance again, full field even with notable absences, Paul, Tim, teamie, you were missed pals.

First race usual chaos at start, me and Bruce kept in the back but somehow Bruce got into trouble.
I spun once trying to follow Ron, luckily I didnt hit anyone and I finished almost last.

Second race everybody was more carefull, but, at chicane I saw suddenly a car flying high up at the sky lol.
That gave me some nice positions up and by lap 12 I was at 12th place.
Unfortunately at 13th was Oscar coming strong and this got me very worried, as I calculated he would gulp me judging from his speed at quali.
Luckily I didnt make any mistakes, he did one, and I ended 12th with much needed points for my championship battle with Bruce.

managed to avoid trouble in 2nd race, finished respectable 5th


mid ohio is an old 3rd party unoptimised terrible looking track so i was getting bad fps and jumpy visuals )-:

hoping it's an official isi/397 dx11 track for next look forward to it , big thanks again

Sorry for missing the race teamie I've had Internet issues the modem crashes and so would of been unfair to risk ruining someone elses race as well as mine I have a new provider being in stalled next week so I'll see you all on track as soon as is possible good luck all

Qually

Went out and set a time I was happy with within a couple of laps , so sat out the rest of qually until 5 mins from the end , I decided to have another go as I wasnt far off pole , I was up by ¼ of a second which would have snatched it but I blew it in the last 2 corners . Damn .

Race 1

Got a great start and went into turn 1 in 1st , I managed to hold of Kris for a few laps but then he caught my back under braking for turn 3 , I didnt loose much time but Lee got by Kris and was then all over me , I had set my front too stiff and it was melting my front tyres so I started slowing and Lee got me under braking for turn 3 , decided to pit and see if I could get the undercut but unfortunately on my out lap I came across Dimitri and some else tangling at turn 2 , Dimitri clipped me as he recovered and I went spinning off , got going again but another blue car who was recovering from an off T boned me at the next to last corner , ive decided blue cars hate me . After that I decided I couldnt catch DJ so tried to manage the gap back to Dave Hart and settle for 4th .

Race 2

Again I got a great start and led into turn 1 , I managed to hold Kris off for a little while but he passed me and after that it was pretty much a striaght forward job to manage the gap back to 3 rd

@deecee52,it wan't me,at lap 10@1st race it was Bruce(teammate) who t-boned you and at 11th lap it was Rick Nauman who came into the track and kissed you.
My first race was good,a little fight with John Cook and p6.
Second race,chaos!
T2 came hot and hit David Cruick in the back,i spun and then ..cars flying in the air!
Sorry DC....i need a lot of practice to take a clean pass at you!!
