Qualified 15 and finished 6 so pretty good climb for me though it's almost all through attrition. Sorry Stephen for the tap after the chicane, expected you to be a little more on the throttle. Had good racing holding off Tim for much of the first stint while keeping up but not gaining on my teamie John. Then second stint was pretty boring except for getting out of the way of the fast guys! Tim had somehow fallen back pretty far though holding his position. Just tried to keep it on the pavement while not giving up time while my position number just kept going down down down.

very hard race for me hands were cramping very stressful . I like Rick ended with a good result because of attrition. I was right on him for a long time then he tapped Stephen I think and Stephen got me so I was behind. I tried very hard to get out of faster cars but I may have messed some up I have to look. During second half of race I moved over on turn 1 to let them by and as I looked to be sure they were gone I went off track and got damage and the rest of the race was just hang on. Happy I finished and I hope I didn't screw anyone else's race.

My race report is very short, I got disconnected when the session moved from Warmup to Race. I rejoined the server but I was too late. Shame, as I was fast on this track, I had qualified 2nd.
See you all next track.

That's a real bummer Dave. I hate it for you. When I watched the replay I saw the empty position at the front of the grid and knew something bad had happened.
Sorry Tim that my incident with Stephen affected you too.

My first "real" race with SR4L (i.e. not counting the T70 fun run at Spa a couple months back) in over a year I think -- maybe two -- as I had/have been working Sundays but happened to have this one off. I was concerned with wide cars and such a narrow track that there'd be carnage at the start but all was well behaved from where I was sitting. Got a good launch out of the first few corners which allowed me to pick up some spots. Had a good time chasing down Bayford a couple times, then was a bit surprised he just let me past. Lonely then until I pitted and came out right behind Cook. Really close fight for several laps there until finally was able to get by right as the leader caught us. Was able to sneak past when Cook overshot one corner a little bit, then I had just enough gap to let the leader past immediately thereafter.
Cook pitted a couple laps later, and at that point I was in fifth with half a minute to Bayford, who had taken tyres on his pitstop. I nursed the left front as much as I could, letting the gap come down, but right when I had to start pushing a bit more to make sure I maintained the position, I was mixed up with the car one position ahead of me who was also a lap ahead. I let him past, but then had to pass him back, then I drove off the track when I got blue flags again and spun the car in the grass. Lost fifth, then forgot where I was on track and took the nose off, losing sixth. With over a minute gap to eighth, I drove the last three laps without the nose, toodling around for a disappointing seventh place, even though that's a pretty good position for me in this crowd.
Overall, though, a very satisfying race -- some good close action for several laps.
Wasn't sure I'd be able to race, as, like DJC, I was having game crashes after every session leading up to it. There'd be a C runtime error after each session -- except Warmup thankfully. Perhaps it was related to downloading skins, which the game hadn't completed even at race time.

Ron, that was me a lap ahead. Sorry about not passing cleaner on the blue flags but I was struggling for pace and general stability.
After such a good qualifying session my race went pretty badly. I seem to get a bit lost of the first lap, although this time my setup played a part, as did tiredness. I had made a setup specific for qualifying which worked really well, but when I came back to my race setup it felt awful and I was understeering off the track as I couldn't get it turned into the fast righthanders. On the first lap I got dark blue damage to both left corners and that made it even worse. At the mid-race pitstop I repaired the damage, it felt better but I did not have the pace to catch Bryan.
Awful luck, DJ. We were on for an interesting battle.
Congratulations J-P, a well-deserved win and your consistency is paying off massively in the championship.

Cool track car combo. Lots of fun in preparation and setup finding with many training laps. Feeling well prepared for race. Q was at p9, lowered my ph by one sec. Race: lost rear wheel and therefore everything in lap 3 due to a stupid driving mistake. The family appreciated me being back so soon from my Sunday race.
Cheers

I'm very sorry David. I'm not sure if this things happens because of track, rfacto2 o server issues.
My race looked very promising and ended in a disaster.
Ed made a little mistake on the first corners and that helped me get the lead and drive a pace where I could look after my tires.
Sadly, dealing with traffic I was a bit wide at the entry of the final chicane, climbed the kerb and spun damaging my car agains the wall. I was able to battle the car for 5 or 6 more laps, but it was so difficult and unpreditible to drive that the inevitable happend and finally crashed again, losing my left front tire, retiring from race.

You did nothing wrong; I just flat drove off the track.

If you're talking about us at turn2 or thereabouts then No Worries Tim. I thought maybe you didn't see me, I thought maybe the door was closing. Coming in a little too fast and off the racing and having tyres that were trash, had planned to pit at the end of that lap, I jerked the wheel a little too hard and lost control then you had no choice, 'cause I was now in your way, to give my front right the most gentlest of taps enough to spin me the other way. I was going off the track whether or not we made contact. Didn't get any damage and carried on. Happy I didn't cause you any damage or did I? I blame myself entirely.

My race was destroyed by a catch fence across the track at turn 2 , it acted more like a wall than a fence and sent the car end over end into the barriers , race over .
Why oh why do modders insist on putting silly objects around the track that spoil the racing , this was as stupid as the hay bails at Spa , not realistic at all just stupid .
I noticed a lot of folks having disco’s and other problems on the lead up to the start , saw DJ locked out and unable to join just before lights out , this is mega frustrating for a driver as a weeks hard work is wiped out through no fault of their own , its happened to me so I know how he feels .
Maybe when we are having server/track problems we should relax the restart rule so everyone can race
Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car
Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall
Torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it

I wondered where you went DJ when I was doing the points I didn't see your name I was confused. Daniel and Rick no problems with anything was all just racing stuff. Being a slow guy I just hate when I don't see the cars or flags in time to get out of the way in corners and I am never sure if in hard corners I should get off line or wait until we get to straight to move off line. Or do I stay online and let the fast guy find a way around me??????? Just never sure.

I've been thinking about that. I'm not sure, but maybe the 30 seconds prior to the race to start can be increased on the server side. Maybe we can reduce the Warmup sessión from 7 to 2 minutes, and increase the pre-race start time to 5 minutes., something to test, will look into it for the Montecarlo Server and fun event server.

Apologies to Ricknau, lap 25 I'm guessing. You gave me room to go through and I under steered into your front right wheel. You did everything right and I did the opposite. It looks like you drove on which is a relief. Sorry again Rick.
On that, we all know we have a real mix of speed difference in our league. I think it's pretty cool and makes our league realistic and even more interesting. If you're getting blue flagged don't feel like you have to jump out of the way that very second. You have time to make a good decision and it seems like as a group we do it pretty well. On the flip side, drivers passing cars under blue flags have to just suck eggs some times. You'll lose time no doubt but it will even out most times during battle.
I personally need to improve on both.
My Qualifying and Race went well. I ran a PB in Q after deciding to run 5 front and 10 rear wing. I was please to start 6th on the grid. My race went well and had some luck thrown in with faster drivers having some bad luck. I chased David Coyne as hard as I could. The gap ranged from 5 to 1 second depending on what was going on. That ended on lap 20 when he came in to pit and I never saw him again. I see in the reply something happen??
I made a stop for fuel and tires on lap 21, felt like the best option for me and with around 15 laps to go I was sitting 3rd with Daniel Tani in front of me and Pole sitter Ed Pond behind me some 10 seconds. I managed to hang onto that with a lot of things falling my way. All in all pretty happy. I really enjoyed the racing.
Another good turn out, well done to JP, amazing consistency thus far and Bruce... my favourite driver finished again, well done mate.
Great to see some new drivers, hope to see you all again next round.

I think there are 2 basic ways of lapping/being lapped.
1- You get caught in a straight... then let the faster car the inner line for the corner.
2- You get caught while in a corner or a combination of corners.... Keep the racing line and as the corners end, you can move off the line or simply do as in step 1.

I've set server 2 (fun event server) to contain a 150 seconds timer before race starts. If someone gets kicked from server as warmup ends, he/she should have enough time to rejoin the server. Please try to test it, as I've done it remotely and haven't been able to see if the timer is set properly.
This 150 seconds can be used to practice starts on race day, too.

Good idea.
The driver would still need assistance from the admins, as entering when race has already started puts you in spectator mode and unable to enter.

Try please, if you can test it. Set a qualifying time at the fun server, then leave at the end of the warmup and join again during pre-race time.
Otherwise, we'll look at the command that allows a driver to rejoin the grid.
P.S.: At the actual moment server has this feature:
"Race Rejoin":2,
"Race Rejoin#":"Whether disconnected players can rejoin a race session: 0=no 1=yes with fresh vehicle 2=yes with vehicle in same physical condition 3=yes including setup",
We also have this other option, though it says "0" to be not available:
"Closed Race Sessions":1,
"Closed Race Sessions#":"0 = open to all (currently N\/A), 1 = open but drivers will be pending an open session, 2 = closed",
