So, I didn't see anyone's skins, and apparently only a few people saw mine. There's obviously something that a user had to do manually to get skins visible. Maybe you have to create the skins dirs for every car ahead of time? Not sure; I had skins dirs already made for many of the cars (as I had painted an Eagle, Cooper, Honda and BRM) but nothing appeared. For some I saw the "..." on the player list suggesting that a skin was attempting to download, but never did. Some multiplayer testing is in order, I guess, or the server gets pre-loaded with skins and/or players load skins manually like in the rF1 days.

On my pc, the game has made skin folders, but when I look inside them they are all empty apart from my skin and Rons.
To DanB, looks like you been trying to use a Team Skin as I have a folder with your name on it. I don't think they work without problems. Were you running a skin Dan?
My skin was just the default skin with my name changed on the side, with a different helmet colour that I put in a mas file. Let me know if this showed for anyone?

I wonder if the RFM dictates whether car skins can be sent now, and DJC only has my skin from an earlier time or something (like when we had the "Skin Transfer" option in the old UI). David, maybe send me your skin and we can go on the server together sometime and see if manual transfers work (though I work the rest of this week and by the time I'm home mid-afternoon in Nevada it'll be about midnight GMT). If so, we can create a skinpack.
By the way, for the teams I have painted so far, I replaced the fake logos with the real ones -- note the Cooper badge on the nose of my car above for example. I may be able to fix up my PSD files and make them available as "templates".

Then delete the folder with your name and the .rcd file. Good luck.

Sunday race was the first time I was on the server with other people with this mod, so I have not had your skin from an earlier time.
You drive in many other leagues, have you had any issues with skin transfer in their servers recently?

Maybe we have to send skins the old-fashioned way.

That is a bit difficult because when the skins are transferred to other people the filename changes.
For example your skin is not altcpk84.mas on my computer, instead it looks like this _42_altcpk84.mas. The game adds numbers and dashes to the start of filename.
Don't know if Myles wants to have a peak in the skin folder of the server and tell us what is in there?
Myles, does the folder have your account permissions etc? Or, maybe it just needs a clear out? I'm really just guessing sorry. cheers.

Right, I’ve had a look.
First of all, the *current* Spa server was set up with ‘allow custom skin transfers’ blocked (so I’ve changed it)… HOWEVER - I can’t now tell if the last race server

had that enabled or not. I could try to briefly fire up a spare server with that package to check - it should load the same options.
As to what’s on the server, there were only a handful of recent files in the Skins folder (which I’ve totally cleared out now). See screenshot (note the final column - date modified - not the date deleted column).
My best guess is that these files were created in the brief period when I had a practice server running alongside the race server and that the race server had skin transfers turned off. As it’s a shared folder, skins transferred through the practice server might have been visible in the race, but new skins would’ve failed? Just a guess…
Anyway - try the current spa server again - I can keep an eye on what builds up in the skins folder.

Thank you for looking. I was on last night, no skin transfer sorry to say. Alwell never mind.
We did spot the server is setup for no voting, we could not restart weekend when we saw race was set to 23 lap. Welcome message says Round 1 and 23 laps also. Thought I would just let you know.
Maybe set it for 3 laps during the week then 12 laps for Sundays race?
I also would very much welcome the community made http://League-Friendly version of the track that we have used in the passed, that removes haybales and white posts, adds more pit spots, http://Pit exit clearly marked, more spaced out start grid. What you think guys?

I agree for usin the League-Friendly version! Vacant haybalec can ruin races.

Not to mention that, unless they fixed it, the standard version of the track has the haybales and bollards in vizgroups so people running with lower track detail don't have them, giving them an advantage as they can run wide without hitting those objects.
