What you want at the chicane at the very point of turn in is you not pressing brake pedal. Because if you do you shift the weight of the car to the front wheels, making your steering very in-precise or unstable. So slow to desired speed, then foot off brake and pray. Imo.

Exactly I brake just before the hill, resolute but not too hard... then release brake when turning in. I prefer to accelerate through the chicane. Car is more stable under gentle throttle.
Actually it's not even a chicane. I see it as a tiny tiny passage that I can go straight through, with minor wheel movement.

Cosimo I had Marcel's setup (a great one thank you M ), I did exactly as the guys above say, my best was a flat 1:28 and they did 1:22s.

Many times during practice I watch how these guys drive, I go incar with them and I check if Im using the right gear changes.
Usually I do it right but still my laps are vastly slower.
Their secret is, they dont have a secret.
They are just faster in every corner. they enter better and they go out better and this adds up.

A very interesting thing to notice is that at fast tracks with less turns, as Monza, our difference with the fast guys is very small, while at tiny places with many bends like Monaco, the difference is huge.
