Given the long sweeping corners here, I felt it was a good track to use the "bogey" car, so I was in the Firebird, the slowest car on the grid. Still managed to qualify P4, but in the race I'd get eaten up on the back straight. The rest of the lap I could catch right back up and had to brake and downshift early into Moss (normally I would not downshift until the second half of it when ready to accelerate again), as apparently that's where I would have made up a lot of time if I'd've been in clean air. I thought about pitting early and hope to get into clean air but there was no guarantee of it, so I just sat back there, occasionally giving whoever was in front a little help under acceleration...!

But then of course they'd pull away a second on the back straight, and I'd gather it all back just in time to try avoiding rear-ending them into Moss. Fun and frustrating at the same time!

A P5 result is a very welcome one for the mandatory "bogey" event!
