Took about a third of the race before I realized the instability I was having into the corners at the end of the long straights was from too much rear brake. It was so inconsistent that sometimes it would slide and sometimes not; sometimes turn in earlier and sometimes understeer. Had a couple early offs that put me back a bit. Once I realized I might try adjusting my brake bias I did so but on the curving back straight... and drove right into the grass, spinning out and losing 10 seconds and once again ahead of Dave who had spun under acceleration at the last corner on the previous lap. He almost had me on one good run down the front straight but over-cooked it. I went wide on the outside of him and ended up in the grass too, doing a quick 360 and getting back on course ahead of him again. With the brake bias now sorted I was able to be more consistent and bring it home P2, where I qualified.

The Camaro is the car I drove for a season at ODS, though a setup I used there was not compatible with our version of the mod. Bouncy bouncy! Took some doing to settle it down. I plan also on driving the Barracuda like I did in the test race, and the Firebird, for my mandatory three cars. They're already painted!

Hmm. The only differences the League Edition has is that the diff is unlocked and there’s a modest increase in drafting effect. Maybe the non-league version changed since the ODS series…
