Started 4th and trailed the leading trio into T1 where Daniel came hot on the inside. Saw him from the mirrors, but there wasn't a great deal of room to manoeuvre and we had a slight bump with JP. The pit menu said there was some damage, but honestly never felt anything wrong with the car during the race.
There was a bit of a situation in the downhill hairpin with Ed and Hedlund, which I was lucky enough to see from a distance and thus got through without any issues. Was running 2nd after David, with JP on my tail. Overshot T1 on lap 7 while staring at the score sheet to figure out how far back Ed dropped, and this allowed JP to get by. He seemed to have the legs on me and pulled a 2-3s lead in a few laps.
Towards the end of the stint the gap began to close up and I was able to overtake him on the main straight just one lap before the pit stop. JP stopped on the same lap and we got out with remarkably similar stop times, so I had a small lead on him when we rejoined the track.
Then another blunder from me some 3-4 laps later saw him take P2 once more! JP was again faster during the early part of the stint, so I tried to save the tires for an attack in the closing stages. This did work, but likely would not have been enough if he didn't have some trouble with back markers, causing a bit of a wobble in T4 and giving me a chance to grab the second place.

Congrats to David for the win and JP for the big crown, well deserved gents.
Overall it's been a great (half) season, with many memorable moments and some truly enjoyable races. I do share the sentiments of the ones who are glad to get rid of these cars though. I don't know what the McLaren and the Brabham were like, but the March was an absolute pain to setup right. Actually might write a bit of a technical post-mortem on it, as the root cause is an interesting case study for those who haven't bumped into it before (this includes me). Not to say the cars aren't well made - quite the opposite in fact. It was the well-modeled 70's suspension that was giving me a headache, but more on that later.
As for LRT, I'm glad we could finish this last one on a high, after a string of ups and downs. Bummed for Ed for that lap 1 incident though, but pleased to see he recovered so high up.
Probably won't be doing a great deal of racing during the next couple of months as the temperatures start to climb (insert joke about Finnish summer), but I'll see you around. Really looking forward to the next season / series, this place is a real gem.
Also big thanks to the admin team once more, for all the effort they put in for us to have a chance to race. Sadly only 15% of the server costs covered for 2019 so far, but perhaps we can move that bar a bit more towards completion in the near future.
