I came into the week with the intention of beating Rick by 1 spot both races. Nothing else mattered.
I qualied crappy because I did the "right gate thing" and nursed the car the whole lap, then discovered that was my only shot. Lesson learned.
Race 1 was a great start by all. Totally pro. I worked my way through the pack and had some breathing room. Till Harri made a little mistake and I got in front of her. She breathed down my neck for the next lap I just tried to not choke under pressure. I pitted next lap and Rick came in right behind me. DAMNIT!
I got out first but by the end of lap three he was poised to overtake me on the long straight. Then....Disco'd. That is NOT the way I wanted the battle to go down. You would've had me, Rick.
Race 2 was a bit of a disaster as my head wasn't in it after the weird start. Sorry to Dan(?) for tagging you. I thought I slowed down enough, but I guess not. Total rookie crap.
On lap 2 I came flying up on John and Rick right after they had to slow down for an incident. I tried to pass Rick on the left but the room just wasn't there. Wreck #2. After the incidentI slowed down give Rick the position back but he never came. Thought it was a ragequit from damage, but I guess it was the fuel thing
My car was jacked so I just tried to get the car home and let everyone pass me rather than cause another incident.
Teamie Dan finally got everything dialed in and scored his 3rd podium in a row. Super Terrific Happy Fun Time Racing will be in full force next season
