A great racing Sunday gone bad for me. Was doing low 7:40s pretty consistently. Had a great qualifying lap going when a lightning storm in my area dropped my connection. We have crappy DSL that is real finicky when the weather is bad. Got back online for race but have to start at the back, on a track that is nigh-on impossible to pass on. But somehow I managed to catch up to Shannon (my in-league rival with one point separating us!). I draft him on the long straight at the end of lap 3 and get maybe a half car length ahead when I get kicked off! ARRGH! I gotta say though that that 3rd lap with me following him and both uf us driving really well under pressure was the most enjoyable lap I've ever done at the Ring.
Race 2. So I start at very near the back again. And of course jockeying was really tough because of that no-pass track characteristic. But somehow on lap 2 me and Shannon end up together again (albeit at the back of the pack this time). But this could be fun none the less. Except after getting sloppy and loosing a few seconds to him my freaking car ran out of fuel!!! WTF! I had my race fuel setup "assigned"! So how in the heck can that happen? I double checked after quitting and yea-verily the race setup was assigned. @#$^%&^$!
Edit: Can a car be damaged in such a way to leak fuel? Is that a thing with rF2? There can be no other explanation.
Edit 2: I forgot to add my thanks to all the admin and various other helpful guys that make this league happen season after season. Thanks to all of you!
