I like Edwins idea of running a sprint race and then a longer one (maybe the first race without pitstops and the second with the mandatory one).
I also like the idea of single and longer races (like 60 or 90 minutes races).
I'm also thinking in shortening the duration of the qualifying sesion and/or limiting the number of laps, trying to make things a little more demanding.
There are so many car posibilities:
- Keep classic, Lola, Howston (Problem to me with Howstons is that driving manual clutch has proved to be slower than auto clutch in this car).
- Groing a moustache. Start battling 1990s Formulas (I really like the 1992 ASR, speed, inmersion, though drivers gaps could increase and make races less competitive)
- Going touring. Touring cars with modern racing rules.
- God Bless America. Going for an indy car season.
- Unlearning to learn. Pick up the Skip Barbers and learn to drive again having slower but closer racing.
I'd also consider using weight hadicaps depending on previous event finish or championship position. The idea would be to have closer racing and a closer championship so more experienced drivers can get a little more battle from the less experienced ones.
About number of races, I prefer to finish the league before the summer break, and then at the fall start a brand new one.
About the tracks, It all depends of what we drive. If we drive classic cars I preffer classic tracks, and the same goes for modern cars/tracks.
As a summary, I'd personally like the idea of a Skip Barber session so we could have a different and closer racing.
Anyway I think we should fun-race different type of cars to see what we like for the future league.
