Sim Racers 4 Life welcomes you to Season 3 of our Historic's League. This season we move up to the Historic F1's in what promises to be an action pack event. There's no way around it, it's a hard mod and with that comes massive challenges. One of them Finishing and being consistent will be the key to a good season. We see the return of the reverse grid race with this series and now with only two racers per round it add a lot more pressure on staying clean in those opening laps. Expect big thrill, big spills and lots of emotion to come out of this series.
SR4L wishes you good luck for the season.

Great promos 8)
@Rik, Highlander voice: 'There can be only one... one!'
Need to get practicing and hope to get in the mix with 'Where's Wiegers'(no need to ask, way out in front!) and 'Speedin' Sweden'. Setting the bar high that's for sure!

Last curve approach should require some talking.
During qualifying, Can the pitlane be used as a help for launching your flying lap? And as a help in the end of your qualifying lap?
During race can it be used at any moment?
I undestand rules clearly says you can as long as only two wheels are crossing the white line that separates track from pit lane entry and the other two remain on track area. But it'd better to make a clear decission about it so we don't get any controversy on race day.

I'm leaning towards allowing both left and right wheels to cross the line at pit entry. It minimizes controversy at that part of the track and doesn't add any danger as far as I'm concerned.
Normal rules for the rest of the track, including pit exit.
I'll post final decision with some pics in first post.

Great
I can see them doing such things countless times in IRL racing (especially F1, without penalty).

Unforgiving track. So easy to kiss grass when going to the limit and damage the car.

Yes, agree... Very unforgiving. The grass just sucks the tire in if you cut the track, and the walls are so close. It doesn't help that the grass feels even more slippery than other tracks.
At Monaco we can't cut because the walls are there... But at Essington you can be temped to cut the grass sometimes but it's risky as it's so easy to loose control and hit the wall. So this track might be even more dangerous than Monaco. Especially the esses is hard for me... I downshift from 4th to 3rd there, and I'm using h-shift and heel and toe, and if I just miss blipping the throttle I loose control and crash into the walls
And the race pace from some guys is really worrying... low to mid 41's for several laps *cough* marcel and djc *cough*... need to keep my concentration on top. Yesterday I did a few 1.41.1's in race, so it's getting better. But I won both races at Monaco so I can relax a bit... That was better than expected haha.

I know what you mean, really easy to lose it there.
One thing I don't like about this car is that braking power is so weak that many times I need to be flat on the brake pedal. That is really uncomfortable when heel and toeing.
Anyway, so little practice at the moment, already a week without testing. I remember being in the 42s and feeling the track to be really slippery.
