can we take out some of the tracks we have already been racing steady that arent really great for f1?....like PUTNAM! try some others maybe.....
i think you can drive some of them just fine in an f1 ,....but why bother? , ....there are better choices we have not used or rarely used...pukehole , blackwood , sears etc.., of course vintage tracks are an obvious choice like monaco belgium x2 and monza and any others that are out there like aintree -the mills layout last night was fun

What I really hate is converted old stuff from GPL, please stay away from these (ok, I accept Zolder).

I didn't know about Zolder, but I agree we should have it included, it was a fun track. Kyalami? Nordschleife? Aintree? Are they all GPL tracks? Then we loose some very nice circuits Nikos ![]() Kyalami is a wonderful track, I wish it was available in feels3 quality....

Its obvious which tracks are from GPL, they are the ones that look 15 years old ![]() I think ISI, VLM, Feels stuff is more than enough to run a Championship. VLM tracks are RF1 converted tracks of their own, so is new Nurbs, and they look great. ![]()

New Nurbs is great, but as I've said we can't race there atm (no pits, finish/start line, green lights/flag etc). Would be interesting to see more opinions about this. Should we run the fun but ugly tracks, or the beatiful tracks? :

Hedlund Wrote:Lol, I think some converted rF1 tracks look like "15 years old", too That is because most of them are previous conversions from GPL, Targa is one : ![]() Of course, Targa was an enormous job, it will be really nice to have it in RF2 too, but many others look like a joke to me. ![]()

I've never done a season online racing. and till this point i'm far away of being good enough but if you guys let me step in the season i think it's great fun driving the old cars on old circuits. Monaco is realy very demanding and i crash the car al the time there but isn't that the challenge?
So i agree with Marcel and Hedlund. please skip the new circuits, lets keep them for the GT's and drive the old ones on the old bumpy circuits. cheers

Dont worry Edwin, youll be ok, when you follow the full season you will find out that you are tons better than when you started

When I started I used to crash out on most races. Now I finish nearly all. Although not in the points but I'm getting closer :-) So it's worth spending the time practicing. You will definitely see the difference.

I agree with hedlund, also we can try Jarama, Watkins Glen and Hockenheim.

Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall Torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it

...And Jarama is not much better if I remember correctly. ALl these tracks would be great with a road surface and texture update.
Maybe Nikos is right, we should stay away from the most "lazy" conversions.

When you are doing the schedule order, you may put some "replaceable" tracks towards the end of the season. Just in case better tracks are coming
![]() And I agree, a track like Putnam Park is quite lame with old F1 cars, but as long as there aren't enough tracks, we'll have to stick with those :-\

Just in case better tracks are coming The league is coming soon is all I can at the moment. The Calender may look something like what I posted earlier give or take a track or two. We're always open to a track options, Zolder last season for example turned out to be a huge success. Keep in mind it's 60's series and we'll try and stay as true as possible to the era, you won't see modern tracks unless there is absolutely no other option. Sim Racers 4 Life Come race the classics

Yeah, he did a great job. It looks so pretty. Also, I was in a server with him and DJC but I didn't know he was the creator. We drove around a bit and later on I locked up and drove off way into a field. I got lost there but he happily gave me directions and told me to go through a fence. I expected to zip through it but it actually came of its hinges and smashed it on the road. Laughed my ass off! There are loads of back roads and fences which you can explore, this track is so detailed, amazing.
19-08-2013, 07:59 PM
Nah, now you're a bit harsh, Nikos... It doesn't look like GPL
But one can tell that it's a rf1 track... some low res textures, especially the trees. But I rather have this track in our F1 calendar than any pretty modern track like Malaysia
