Looks like battery could not be recharged, at least on practice.

I've just realized the upcoming race overlaps with real F1 at Cota, so I pass this one, sorry.

Mugello race report: That was the most exciting race I've had in quite a while. DJC and I were close in pace but it seemed our cars were set up quite differently and we extracted the most performance at different points in each of the two stints. I started from pole and DJC was putting me under pressure immediately. He seemed to have more downforce and I was having to take the inside of turn 1 early to block an overtake. By lap 6 I cracked, lost control and DJC took the lead but I managed to keep it pointing in the right direction and the gap was about 5 seconds. I caught up a bit and DJC pitted on lap 11, me pitting a lap later.

Pit stop was uneventful and when I emerged Dan was in the lead and DJC close behind me. From here it was head down and don't spin. Managed to get into a rhythm and kept it on the road to take the chequered flag. I'm finding this car quite tricky to drive and the default setup, while fast, is quite prone to spinning when going into a corner too fast. For this race I added some packers and it seemed to make it a bit better.

Well done again Ed, you were a bit faster. It was a 2 horse battle at the front again.

Meanwhile there was also a great battle behind with Tim, Gary and Dan. Looks like you 3 were having a great race..

Yes! Great racing! I got a decent qually…behind Dan for first one..or was it two laps..but Tim got me at corner one on inside and proceeded to hang tight behind Dan for a few laps..then he got past him.I had screwed up my fuel usage and pitted earlier than planned…but came out behind Tim, I kept up with him for a couple laps..but he was faster and the gap got slowly larger…he was really in the zone…very fast..no mistakes…well done very good enjoyable racing

yea we had some fun Dan is too consistent so he pulled away at the end I thought Gary would get me, but I got lucky. Good hard racing and all clean, I think.

setup worked okayish for Q but I kept spinning in the race. Dropped out after the 5th spin or so as it only got worse.
Do you even lift?

So you guys are getting more seat time than me, but I did quite a few laps at Mugello (and a few at Algarve) and I'd agree that the default setup *is* tail happy under braking...

...but whereas I suggested in the setup notes that you might want to increase front brake bias to around 60 *when under full regen*, I've now been finding that the car 'likes' around 61-62% even when regen is not occurring. Try that - I honestly don't think you'll find yourself locking the fronts in a straight line. I run at 100% brake pedal strength...

I haven't heard any other reports of this (yet) and haven't experienced it myself.

Deployment is disabled (or should be) in qualy - but aside from that the system should be active at all times (regen and deployment). Regen setting 1 (of 6) is basically Off (in the next iteration of the car, I'll make the settings zero to 5 instead of 1 to 6 to make this more obvious.

Rnd 4 (Mexico) is loaded.

IMPORTANT NOTE!
The track developer has been lazy with his version number convention. Basically, there isn't one... If you've installed this track in previous years, it might conflict. Safest option if you already have it is to uninstall it and start fresh.

Clocks are going back for the UK and most of Europe tonight. Extra hour in bed Big Grin. Check your times if you live in other country's. I understand in the USA this does not happen until next week.

they arent lazy - you linked a league track not a track maker - i race at srh - thats last years mexico - theres a date on the download - srh just adds their banners to the tracks and typically updates them each year but we aren't driving mexico this year going straight to brazil ....if you race in that league you know what to do Wink

It is lazy - the version/date should show up in modmgr etc. as distinct. If you think about it, if for no other reason that you might want to race a specific year - having the same version number is daft.

I finally made it to the podium...though not by skill..more like good luck for once :0 First few laps behind Tim..he had a unfortunate spin..which i barely avoided...was after this I noticed a rather huge fuel miscalculation...in practicing the night before ..my hud showed 4.3 liters a lap ( should have been 1.4)...which equated to 107.5 liters for race ..and even then i had 56 liters for first stint and 56 liters at pit ( a little extra..haha)..wtf ..so obviously I was a big bloated beamer pig. I changed to no fuel for pit..but still Tim caught up to me i think twice but ended in spin on corners, and then not sure why Dan was behind me ,assuming he spun off as he was ahead of me before I pitted, which I did a bit later as i had tons of fuel, but was on 2nd last lap and he was closing the gap...on first corner of last lap he spun .. which was a godsend for me as I'm positive he would have overtaken my petrol packed bloated Bratwurst beamer. I feel bad for Cookie..as he arrived late for race ..and asked if i had a setup handy, as he had not time to do one..and he got my setup ...whoops ..lol

Dan we were fighting for position so it's all good. I really enjoyed the race. It wasn't clear to me where the track limits were so I was using the yellow sausage kerb through the fast swoopy bit. Hope that was OK. The track has a nice flow to it. @DJCruicky did a great overtake on the outside at one point.

Great Podium Gary. Too many spins for me I guess I cooked my rear tires. I did have a weird brake lock up at t1 they sent me in a spin not sure why. was fun.
