Terrible race weekend for me. VERY sorry David and Michele for taking you out on first lap race 2. Car just got bouncy at the hill and I couldn't gather it back in. I hate that I took you guys out.
Race 1 was just about as bad except my mistakes didn't affect any other drivers. And I practiced a lot. some with meduim fuel, some with 30 gallons. Just a real crappy job of driving in the race. This track is deceivingly difficult... for me at least.
EDIT: It was Michele that I initially clipped and DJC that I sent into an end over end tumble. VERY sorry to you both.

Definately very difficult track for me, more so when gearbox started popping out of gear leaving me with neutral.
i must have startled many people, Neuman himself, Im very sorry.
Second race was much better, kept mistakes low and managed to bring home some valuable points.
Not a race to remember, as there was much confusion with the warmup and grid in second race, dont worry much Paul, it was an odd one out.
Btw bruce, you were trying to do an extra lap at race 2, race had already finished.

I lost my FFB after one of those restarts, so I have no choice to than to put the blame on you for this one
After reinstalling the logitech software I was ready for the second race, starting for the back of the grid, I managed to spent some time in the lead when everybody else pitted, the pressure of which made me spin twice (one again, I had no choice). I ended 6th with nice intense racing the last 3 laps, loads of fun. Thank you all.

Much different results than I was expecting I got some good team points thanks to deecee and he did great also. Track is hard but fun I think. Not sure who got me at end of Race 1 but no big deal no damage and I only lost two spots.
I think some of the fast guys got really screwed in race two but I will take the points.

Race Director:
I want to warn drivers about unsafe track entries. Today's race 2 mayhem started after a car reentered track after going off in turn 1 at race start.
A car coming from behind at a faster speed had to move to the right to avoid it hitting the car on its right and starting a non stoppable pile of cars crashing into each other.
Remember that after going off track, track reentry must be done not only safely but in a ver predictable way so other cars can be aware of it.

Sorry for the mesh at the begining of race 2, I was to impulsive at the start and ruined my race and of few others, but cant do nothing to control my car.
I love this track, my best British circuit by far, interesting, fast, demanding and beautiful.
Race 1 was very nice for me.
See you at Rouen.

Now as a driver.
Qualifying.
Did a bad lap, went a little wide, kissed the grass and spun, losing big seconds and endind on 16th place.
Race 1
Having my teammate with issues on his computer I started 15th on the race. I started gaining places mainly as people had trouble on the track.
At the end of lap 11 I went for my pitstop exiting and finishing the race in 5th place.
Race 2
I got caught in the crashes of the men ahead being moved to the right and taking Kristijan with me. Lots of cars crashing into each other I ended with a badly damaged car. Went into the pits and stayed for a while waiting for repairs. Exiting in desperation being two laps down and having a very heavy car with the tank completely full I went wide at the exit of the pits and hit a wall. Just exited in frustration and left the race.

I suggest, from now on, cancel reversed grid for second races and keep qualy starting grid for both races.

Tough event for me.
Quali i made a mistake in first corner and lost big chunk of time.
I think i was fourth so still not too bad.
Race 1 i just tried to follow Kristian Dave and David and not to lose too much time as they were alot lighter fuel than me .
When they pitted i started to push but got distracted later on and made a big mistake in turn 3 or 4 . I braked too late went straight and hit the tire had to reverse and lost about 14 sec .
End up fourth which was ok.
Race 2 i felt like i could do better .
Unfortunately after first corner the car on my left side turn into me not seeing that i was there and wipe me off the track and few others.
Steering was badly damage so i pit for 99sec repair plus 4 tire change .
End up in 9 place not so happy about it .
In my opinion i really like reverse grid and i also think quali should not be private. It would be more unpredictable more fun.
Hope for better luck and less accidents after the start in next race.

Felt fairly confident going into today. New to this track but it suits me nicely.
Started race 1 with heavy fuel and was holding 6th comfortably.
However on lap 4, braking into Knickerbrook at the end of Hilltop straight, the car pulled to the left suddenly and sent me into the wall.
Brakes not locked and never did that in 100+ laps of practice. Very strange. So I was pretty cautious with that corner afterwards.
Went to pits, came out in 21st, and finished in 19th after the lag on lap 17 sent me into the wall again.
Race 2 was lucky for me. Starting near the back was able to climb up to 7th finish thanks to all the carnage others had.
Had a nice chase near the end with Xavier, who also started at the back and finished 6th.

By the way. Freeze came back as usual, this time it didn't happen at exactly XX:45, it happened at XX:30.
So, what is under steam causing it? Steam dump file is there as it somehow crashed, but did freeze happened because of steam crash, or did steam crash because of the freeze?
More research to be done.

Qually
I survived it OK and netted a surprising 3rd , I was expecting 5th or 6th
Race 1
Got a good start but then lost out to Maciej on the run down to Cascades , managed to get the place back when he run wide at Island , chased DJ and Kris but couldnt attack , pitted lap 7 but had a slow one , came out on clear track , places came back to me and I found myself in 2nd with a hard charging Kris behind me , he caught me up and I was fighting like mad to keep my speed up and give him no opportunity for an overtake then Maciej joined the party , whilst he and Kris were fighting it took the pressure off me and I held on to claim 2nd , Phew .
Race 2
Got a good start and was fortunate to avoid the chaos after the first corner and found myself in 5th at Cascades , picked my way up to 1st over the next few laps but I clipped Cookie with my rear tyre whilst doing so at island exit and pushed him wide , sorry JC I thought I was clear . Held position until I pitted , made a faster stop this time and again came out on a clear track , got myself up to speed then I noticed Kris was behind , here we go again , did the same and tried to keep clean but he reeled me in and got the gap down to a couple of seconds but then he made a mistake at Druids and let me off the hook . Kept my nose clean and crossed the line in 1st .
Really enjoyed this car track combo and was hoping to do well here as its my local track , I live 15 mins away. As a little aside , if this track was as is when these cars raced all those who crashed on the first lap would be dead , that part of the track was lined with large trees and the outside of Cascades was a lake where some guys unfortunately drowned when they went off .
Well done Teamie Tim a top 5 finish great drive and good points for the Wrinklies
Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car
Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall
Torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it

This car track combo made me fear for my life. I was not feeling any confidence going into the event.
Quali didn't help my confidence much -- I spun twice and ended up with a 1:55 or something ridiculous like that.
On the bright side, I don't feel pressure or tension when starting at the back of the grid like I do in my usual mid-pack position.
I drove race 1 clean and boring. Focused on keeping the car between the lines, rather than setting a personal best lap. No spins, offs or contact with other drivers. Lap traffic was super considerate. Finished in 7th. How the hell?
Started in the second row on race 2. Not my favorite place to be since I tend to choke under pressure. Came out of turn one in second place and fortunately avoided the armageddon-level mayhem which unfolded behind me. Ran second behind Tim for a while, and even led a lap or two. I had to seriously focus on not blowing P3 after pit stops were completed. I knew there was no way I'd catch David and Kristjen and P4 was 20 seconds behind, so I focused on being clean and boring for the last 9 or so laps. Held on to P3. Divine Intervention.
For me, finishing a race is like getting a podium. Finishing on the lead lap is like winning the race. Finishing on the Podium is like winning the entire championship.
So, yeah, I feel that I had a good weekend and brought home some good points for the team.
When in doubt, pass out.
