Sim Racers 4 Life - BT44 Season - Round 3 - Montecarlo
#1
[Image: AxFamje.jpg]

Sim Racers 4 Life welcomes you to another season of our Historic Leagues.
This season we race the Brabham BT44. Fast, handles nice and brakes good. This 1974 car has huge rear wheels and adjustable front and rear wings which can bring a lot of different race strategies.
This time we race in Montecarlo. The slowest track of the season, narrow, bumpy and slippery. Surrounded by walls and barriers finishing here unharmed will require all your skills.

SR4L wishes you good luck for the season.

Monaco pit rule clarification (As originally posted by Marcel):

- Obviously, you need a 'request pit' button to make a pitstop here, unlike other tracks where you can just enter pit and the red pit spot appears automatically.

- The moment you request pit, the pitlane becomes active for your car. The pit speed limit has then to be taken in account, even if you decide not to pit while it's active.
If you don't pit, but do cross the white line accidentally and break the speed limit (by overtaking someone for example), you'll receive a penalty.

- To serve a drive through or stop and go, you have to request a pit stop. From then, the procedure is as normal. For a drive through, just drive through as you normally would and for a stop and go, you stop at your spot.

- When pitting, stay right of the white line. Obviously, if there's a car in front of you, you need to pass it and cross the line. No penalty will be given. Tuck in again when you can.

- Exiting pit, stay on the right till after T1, especially when there's traffic coming.

- Here's two screenshots to show pit entry, a bit after the blue wall to the right and pit exit, after you passed the diagonal yellow lines on road surface.

I've added pitstop information for Montecarlo though I think it is very risky going for a pitstop in this so difficult to overtake track.

Just had a really weird "ctd" when driving through the tunnel.. Screen froze but my wheel's ffb continued working. I had to alt+tab but game immedietely maximized itself again and suddenly I was back in the pit. I don't think I was able to crash down into the water all the way from the tunnel but who knows... still very strange.

Haven't practiced much at all yet, and thought I would do a longer run today but with the reported ctd's and with my experience today I don't know if I want to put too much energy and time on this.. In case race is ruined anyway...
