Nikos - ask Tim to verify...
I have NEVER raced with paddles in Real Life.. and I love stick shift cars and have raced them with heal and toe.. i wasn't the greatest, nor the worst, but i was Use to it to the point that Tim's Mini's - which i have autocrossed and Fun run'd on track days - and all of them have had automatic's with Paddle shifter's and for the life me - i can't get use to! ??? but, on-line - I am reversed.. go figure :o
only trying to make a point - that "some" might like the way they have things set up and don't "want" to change... I may only be speaking for myself but I thought we were "Brainstoming" and I just wanted to make that point.

you can simply check with CarStast 2 utility.
you can also check performance for each cars

this in an exemple for 1975 Brabham and BRM:

just to add my useless 2 cents as I don't go fast enough to challenge anyone I to love a car in real life with stick shift and the mini is auto only because of wife. But In the game with Logitech shifter H style I find I miss way to many shifts and I know its my problem but I cant get used to it maybe because of my rig but In game I have to paddle shift or I am dead.
Just saying and I think the fast guys make up all their time in corners not on acceleration so it seems it should not matter. Gorka and Rickard and Dj should have to drive blindfolded so we can catch them no matter how we shift

That's why I'm in favour of using extra weight depending on championship positions, to have closer racing.
I really envy you drivers who can get on a real track and have some real fun.
The only thing I've driven in a track is underpowered rental go-karts and the most powerful car I've ever driven is my 14 year old Astra with 125bhp :'(

I would love to have a go at a track, never had the chance for anything. Until recently, the only car I had ever driven was a 20 year old Peugeot 106, 1.1 It had no power anything and was hard to manouver at low speed. Now have a 1.6, good grief! It's a very noticeable difference!

our local road racing track - Pitt-Race (formerly Beaver-Run) has one of the best purpose built go kart tracks around. Tim and I have went there to watch and he has had to drag me out of there before i get into a rental....... that would lead to a fatality...... My wife would shoot me..... ;D

The time I had the biggest fun was in a peruvian karting, wet floor after it had rained in a go-kart which had tires hard as stone, driving single handed while recording with the other hand.

Your Sandra is ok too lol

btw she should be wearing a helmet there, cart owners shouldnt allow anyone to drive without one.
Also if you use cart be very carefull of wearing long scarfs.
A young girl here had a fatal accident when her scarf was tangled inside the chain at a casual ride on a cart.

I did a few laps around Oulton Park in a formula Palmer Audi but they imposed a rev limit of 4k which equated to about 70mph , the cars were so far inside thier limits it was like a boring sunday drive also did the same in an Audi TT they allowed us to push it but not near its capabilities .
Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car
Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall
Torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it

In the two kart tracks I've been in Peru no helmet was provided. People not too concious yet about security there, almost nobody uses a seat belt unless a police car is on the view.

I've always told my wife not to gift me one of those racing packs that are advertised at many places. When you read about them they all consist in doing 2 laps to a track, having someone on your side not allowing you to push the car in any way

You have to set "rfactor2" folder (not vehicles folder).
Take a look at .pdf attachment. would help you.

Jerry, I sent you a private message the other day with a list of tracks. I've lost it, could you sent it back to me so I don't have to gather all that info again? :-[
I'll try to do two more polls today.
One containing a list of US tracks to vote for 7 of them
The other containing which racing method we will be doing (single race, two races, ....)
