Making it to the finish is my only goal. It's one of them races where we will have a lot of casualties, hope not to be one of them. 12 laps is the longest number of laps I've done here, I expect to see the pits more than once. Do check out the link above on how to pit here. RE: Race Day Information Rnd 2 Belgium Historic round. - Myles (Mr Fox) - 21-11-2021 Server password has now been enforced and race-laps corrected to 12. RE: Race Day Information Rnd 2 Belgium Historic round. - Myles (Mr Fox) - 21-11-2021 PLEASE NOTE.... Server timings don't make complete sense - Practice will need to start at 17:*25* UK time for Qualy to start at 19:25... I will restart the server accordingly at 17:25 RE: Race Day Information Rnd 2 Belgium Historic round. - Keeper - 21-11-2021 Had my booster Covid vaccination yesterday (having been almost eight months since my second dose). I'm nauseated, feeling hot and cold at the same time, achy, and haven't been able to sleep. Perfect health for racing at Spa! The racing took my mind off the pain in the arm, but nothing could distract from the headache. Still, I finished! Qualified only 6 seconds off pole, driving the second-slowest car on the grid (there was a Lotus 43 BRM out there), so I was pleased. Thanks to Dave Coyne for a more stable setup than what I had come up with. It had too much understeer for my taste so I adjusted that and gearing, but it was easier to manage. Unfortunately several cars in front of me got together at the entrance to Eau Rouge and I got collected in it, damaging my front suspension. Steering wheel was cocked to the left. A lap or two later I got hit hard braking for La Source which damaged my rear suspension. Could not keep the car in a straight line with that damage, but persevered until deciding to make a pitstop a lap before halfway. All damage was fixed without taking additional time so I wish I'd done that sooner, as I was four seconds per lap quicker with a car that tracked straight. Another P7 -- an accomplishment in the Cooper, especially at such a high-speed circuit. RE: Race Day Information Rnd 2 Belgium Historic round. - giorgetto giaguaro - 21-11-2021 It was me hitting you at la Source Ron: really sorry, I lost my bracking point. I am sorry for Tim McCoy also that collided with my broken car in the middle of the road. I lost the concentration for a bit and I went out of road and hit something. Big shame! I found a good confidence with the car during the weeks but I have a lot to work on keeping the concentration durin the all race. I was in P7 after 4/5 laps and lost everithing only for concentration. Well done to all the finishers, it is not an easy track! As the engine took a long time to spool up i tried to use corner speed to compensate , i took eau rouge in 2nd , haute de la cote in 3rd , 5th all the way to Stavelot dropped to 4th , 5th to Blanchimont RE: Race Day Information Rnd 2 Belgium Historic round. - cookie - 22-11-2021 i was on the front row and got taken out in turn one by cars hitting me from behind - ridiculous - you guys suck really bad RE: Race Day Information Rnd 2 Belgium Historic round. - deecee52 - 22-11-2021 cookie, post: 30538, member: 17 Wrote:i was on the front row and got taken out in turn one by cars hitting me from behind - ridiculous - you guys suck really badI felt for you John you had been driving really well , i did think this was maybe your race . Its totally pointless trying to be first into Eau Rouge as you become the draft provider for everyone else , you WILL be passed before you get to Masta , i dont see why folks dont get that , the draft is all powerfull here its better to be 4th or 5th as long as your near the guys in front RE: Race Day Information Rnd 2 Belgium Historic round. - Myles (Mr Fox) - 22-11-2021 I've attached what i believe to the the server race replay file.http://Mediafire Linky RE: Race Day Information Rnd 2 Belgium Historic round. - marwinschkl - 22-11-2021 cookie, post: 30538, member: 17 Wrote:i was on the front row and got taken out in turn one by cars hitting me from behind - ridiculous - you guys suck really badi think i was the guy who took you out, im so sorry. i panicked a little bit with cars on all sides. You were SO fast. You must have put in a ton of practice. I can understand your anger but hope it doesn't turn you away from SR4L. We all know accidents happen even when not over-cooking. Obviously the slightest tap can be disastrous at a brutal walled canyon like Eau Rouge. I might be reading too much into your post but please hang with us man. I enjoy chasing after you! RE: Race Day Information Rnd 2 Belgium Historic round. - Ratus - 24-11-2021 Had also a great Race with you guys. Like many other pilots i couldnt avoid to be involved in the entry of Eau Rouge mass-collision. Even with damage the car felt stable and luckely steering wheel was still straight. Could catch up to Dan Bayford but he didnt make any mistakes and could keep his Postion well deserved. Gratulation to Tobias Schaugg, nice done! Also Gratulation to all 10 survivers! This track is a dream, i realy love it! Cu on track at Mill :-) RE: Race Day Information Rnd 2 Belgium Historic round. - J-P SImard - 24-11-2021 I don't have much to say that is interesting because I screwed up in the race. I was satisfied with my qualifying time having managed to climb to the level of the fastest in Grabham to my surprise after having managed to get the tires to work. I also had a great start and ended up with the leaders but after a few straights I was quickly caught and passed as if I was stopped, it was very depressing. Then I screwed up trying to follow them i crash and i had to make a complete lap with the car really broken. After 2 minutes of repairs, I wanted to finish the race because there was the possibility of making points but I crash again in the wall but for good now. I'm sorry if I disturbed some in their race during my adventures. See you on the track. |
