RE: Classic F2 League - Round 7 - Sebring - Reports - 1959nikos - 10-07-2017 Sebring is always a fine place to race, so much automotive history around you, planes landing near you, you racing on their concrete strip. I always like it here, and all the girls taking photos of me every time I come around a lap. Very flattering ![]() Race went good for me even with me missing the start of first race for spending more time than I should at the fridge :S I was hoping there would be an incident at the start, but no, you all went away clear and you left me far back battling with myself and Bruce who couldnt stop picking pass-through penalties lol. Second race big incident at turn one, I managed to go through safe and I found myself in 5th position!! I knew I couldnt stay there for ever, and without any mistakes all race I ended at 13th place, and good points. Lee gave me a big scare at the end, as, even with 55secs difference and only 3 or 4 laps to the finish he didnt accept defeat but kept gulping seconds till the end. He was expecting I would panic and do a big mistake, I did panic but made a small mistake lol so at the end he was 14th and me 13th. Tell us how did your race go guys. RE: Classic F2 League - Round 7 - Sebring - Reports - deecee52 - 10-07-2017 Qually Went out early and got a clear run , set a PB which I was happy with and which should have got me 5th , but near the end up popped Cookie who beat my time and dropped me to 6th . Race 1 Got a good start and managed to pick off a couple before turn 1 , chased the fast guys down to the chicane but I couldn't live with their pace , I had been using marks on the track as braking points but these had disappeared , the track was clean for the race, I was making all sorts of small errors whilst readjusting my braking points and I had Cookie breathing down my neck , I was hoping to get my tyres up to temp before he pounced but failed miserably , I couldn't live with Cookies speed on the straights the Eve was way faster than the Techno so he passed me on the back straight , I stayed with him and decided to try to out brake him for the chicane unfortunately Dave Hart decided to do the same and he gave me a pat on the bum which spun me out , got going again and came across Dave waiting for me (thnx Dave its nice to race with Gentlemen drivers) and we resumed racing , he passed me and slowly pulled away so I decided to try for the undercut , pitstop went ok but didn't work out for me so I finished 5th . Race 2 Got a good start and made places , surprised to find myself in third for turn 2 so I presumed something must have happened at turn 1 , decided to push hard and gain time if others were having to sort themselves out , managed to out brake Dan for the chicane and could see the leader was driving an Eve so I thought the coming battle was going to slow me , fortunately he threw himself at the scenery and I took the lead , pulled away from Dan which gave me the time to check who was where , I was very surprised to see the fast guys were way behind so decided to keep pushing whilst they sorted themselves out , did my pistop and came out behind an Eve , the guy was lapping quickly so I decided to follow and not get involved in a race , DJ was 20 seconds behind but lapping at a similar pace so I just kept my concentration up and brought the car home , YAY a win . RE: Classic F2 League - Round 7 - Sebring - Reports - kiko0602 - 11-07-2017 quali with few little errors i manage to get pole position..great time John C you manage to separate tecno party at front matra,tecno,tecno,tecno,matra(YOU),tecno.. ![]() race1 got good start, but had few errors first few laps so could not make gap from cars behind.then cars behind got in contact and from then i got 9 sec lead, till the end of race i manage to keep car on track. race2 little bad start from me and then first corner destruction (Dan B & Jonh C) got involved and crash party begun.i almost avoided the crash but in spinning DC touched my rears and spun me out.then again i got contact from behind and my car stalled so i ended 16th.my rear suspension was damaged so i went to early pits.i saw few guys had to pits to.. i went out and got behind Cook, after few laps i manage to pass him.then i got Dan B in same way few laps later. few laps left i manage to decrease gap to Dan M,and at last lap i miss the apex on the corner before long straight so i was little far for slipstream.so he managed to stay in front WD Dan for podium i ended 4th what is not bad at all after early pit stop & damaged car ![]() WD ALL!! little info about cars ![]() i see some of you driving Tecno(Spark) complain about Tecno being way slower car then Matra(Eve). dont know where you getting that from!?if you know something more please share it with me what i know ame engine,weight,gears,tires...at the beginning of the season i even drove both cars to make comparison on Liveracers, for people(and myself) to see difference in lap times and speeds(MF2 vs SF2 & MF2b vs SF2b).and my times was allways very, very close with both cars.. so what time i did with MF2b i did with SF2b with little difference, sometimes one car was little better and vice versa.. sure i put more practice with Matra because i drove that car in league so i put more time in setup, ending little faster than Tecno.. those skeptical can easy check files from cars and see difference in cars.just unpack mas files and you can easy check ![]() only bigger difference i know is wheelbase,WheelTrackRange.and really small difference is in body drag. if you chose wing version, same applies but again very little difference in front wing & rear wing aero drag. so it is possible winged Matra is little quicker on straight, but not way to faster.but again Tecno have corner speed if we look like that.. but if you are in slipstream both car have same advantage..depends on your corner exit speed if you gonna be quicker then other car(so car setup have big effect on this)probably you all know that.. btw those cars are same like ISI original version just with flex..i remember when i was driving on F3 Rookies with Spark on monza & spa,Durge was surprised i was doing same times like Eves.and then i jumped to Eve to check that out,and guess what i was doing same times with both cars biggest difference is with wingless vs winged cars. it is true if i drive wingless eve vs winged spark on monza/spa like tracks Eve is gonna be faster for sure.but if we all are in the same cars(wing vs wing & wingless vs wingless car) only difference is driver&setup, thats my opinion..maybe eve is easier to drive to someone making him little faster driver then driving Spark.what i like is that cars are different indeed(wheelbase...),but with same performance if you find sweet spot with setup.good example is Lee R,he is very quick with spark.then there is David H,Dave C,DC,DB..all tecno drivers best solution for one of future leagues is drivers who drove Matras this season, drive Tecno next league ![]() here is car stat if you lazy to check files ![]() ![]()
RE: Classic F2 League - Round 7 - Sebring - Reports - cookie - 11-07-2017 race 2 turn 1 , i came in a little too hot after the start behind Dan , i dont lift there and he does and i touched his rear ,only slightly , but enough to step out my rear and turn me around- i hit the wall on the inside and bounced back out into traffic collecting several cars - sorry to all - got a long 146 second pit for my trouble and ruined a potentially good result |
