RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - USF2000 League - Round 5 - Watkins Glen - gorgias1976 - 31-05-2017 ![]() Sim Racers 4 Life welcomes you to our 2017 spring-summer season. In this league we will race the USF2000. This little trainer is a nice car to drive. Easy to handle and not too powerful this formula car will help you polish all your driving techniques. This fifth round will take place at Watkins Glen. We will be using the IndyCar layout, a ver complete layout having all types of corners and long straights for overtake. Wing setups will be for sure very different here making for great battles.
SR4L wishes you good luck for the season.

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - USF2000 League - Round 5 - Watkins Glen - Dimitris Papps - 04-06-2017 I am so sorry I can't make it to tonight race.... I am at the sea for the weekend. Have fun and .....again sorry. RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - USF2000 League - Round 5 - Watkins Glen - Hectari - 04-06-2017 This track is not up to rf2 standard, it's very low poly which makes it unnaturally bumpy in corners which is horrible to feel with OSW. It's even worse than laguna seca, which I almost didn't drive. I guess I'm the only one using a DD wheel with realistic ffb. No way I'm going to drive on tracks like this, just a terrible experience. RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - USF2000 League - Round 5 - Watkins Glen - Hectari - 04-06-2017 and to anyone who says, 'just up smoothing if ones wheel doesn't suit' ...no, that doesn't fly with OSW on these low poly tracks A lot of people are oblivious to this problem because their torque bandwidth is very low and it's not a big deal, but I can assure you that the size of the polygons on these tracks completely ruin the ffb. I love using my OSW with high forces but tracks like these ruin it and smoothing isn't going to mask the problem, I'd rather not race than have to deal with it, it's just awful. Laguna was bad, Watkins Glen is even worse. Yuri joined us for LRP, I told him what track we were racing next(Laguna) and he flat out refused to join since he tried it before with his OSW. If you continue to race on RF1 tracks then that's a real shame. Low poly tracks create a very weak link in an otherwise very strong chain. RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - USF2000 League - Round 5 - Watkins Glen - gorgias1976 - 05-06-2017 maybe next time, as we suggest the track choices for the next season, people can give them a try first and therefore say any inconveniences tracks may have. Mostly everybody drives a G25/G27/G29 and, despite the classic rattling on some tracks, none complained of issues in this track so we had no more info about it. Hector, we try to drive as many tracks as posible, some will perform better, others won't, we wish we had more tracks that were rf2 + dx11 ready. RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - USF2000 League - Round 5 - Watkins Glen - 1959nikos - 05-06-2017 At the same time we could rule out some tracks that are as bad as Hector says, there are plenty good ones around nowdays, lets stick to them. Hector as long as you have the most sensitive wheel, why dont you try the tracks, the calendar is there, make your proposal.
