Hi all,

Unfortunately I can't participate at Monaco this Sunday :-[
Some work and vacation reasons force me to be abroad this weekend.....
I wish the best of all you, but the best of the best to my team mate Thanos Wink

See you soon!

Same problem for me, this weekend is completely booked. Game on Saturday and a course on Sunday from 9 am to 5pm leaving me zero time to practice Sad You can't turn up here with out extensive practice, it's a tough one.

So, that leaves me trying not to be swallowed by the NARTS.

I hope they choke.

Folks, any thoughts on build to use? 300 or latest?
If you'd like a data point, I already upgraded :-)

Smoke is not controlled by special effects though, you've been warned :-)

I upgraded to Cosimo and i've noticed to that the tire smoke isn't controlled by the spec.fx, but seems more realistic to me though.
Also when there is a crash, or in my case if i crash (do that a lot these days Tongue) the animations seem much more realistic. You're not sent to the moon anymore as far as i have seen till this point. Sounds of crash are different to i think, now when i park the hard way in a straw bail i hear glass shater ??? :[

Hello,

I am new to Rfactor and Simracers4life. I just updated to build 342 (works good for me) and then realized I can't join the SR4L server online because of the mismatched versions (oops). Any plan to update to the new build soon or at some point for your league?

Thanks,

Peter

If you look at shoutbox here, you will see that the servers will be updated ASAP with the new build.
Welcome to SR4L Smile

It would be cool too if you introduced yourself to us here

Has anyone been able to do a race simulation without crashing? Tomorrow morning I'll give it a try to see if at least can do it once.

I'm in the idea that for every track you must be able to do at least two race simulations without a crash if you want to get a chance of finishing safe. In Montecarlo arms will get too stiff at the chicane due to nervousness and tension.

No.

not strange seeing the lap times you guys do around here.

RE: SR4L 1960's F1 League Rnd 4 Monaco - Hedlund - 25-10-2013

Completed a race distance of 24 laps against the AI yesterday. I had suspension damage when finishing but it was so small I couldn't feel it. I had 20-25 AI's in the race, and only 3-4 finished ??? I hope it doesn't reflect our Sunday's race Tongue

Yes I'm sure I will be quite nervous when approaching the chicane... especially if I have Marcel or some other fast guy behind me. So my plan is to let Marcel take the lead and wait for him to take a swim! :Smile

FYI Marcel hates swimming, as all cool cats do Wink

RE: SR4L 1960's F1 League Rnd 4 Monaco - Paul Swire - 25-10-2013

I don't think I'm going to be able to make it on Sunday, I may have to work and probably wont make it back in time.

I will restart the box and clear the memory cache etc. I will set the server up on Sunday so its ready for the race.

I will be able to connect remotely and set the server on Sunday afternoon to set the race up.

Sorry for the short notice all, but RL work sucks sometimes. Will be the first race I have missed in over a year Sad

Yeah again, too bad you and Bryan can't join us Sad

And I miss my teammie :'(

RE: SR4L 1960's F1 League Rnd 4 Monaco - gorgias1976 - 26-10-2013

I'm losing some good fps with the new build, probably due to car reflection and smoke appearing back again. How can they be disabled?

RE: SR4L 1960's F1 League Rnd 4 Monaco - DJCruicky - 26-10-2013

As long as you're not following my car you should be fine, I like to make smoke bombs under braking Tongue.

Don't forget clocks go back 1 hour this weekend in Europe.

@Paul, I don't think it's in your team contract that you can skip races. I'll have to look into this matter. You may be required to pay the team leader (me) a fine.

That's why I need to turn smoke off somehow, it's a frame killer and it's so easy to lock at the braking for the Casino that it can be a race early finisher.

afaik they cannot be turned off, so its the same for everyone.

btw I was pleasantly surprised to see smoke from my front tyre when I locked it.
